UPDATE: SEPTEMBER 2019
Mayor Vooch’s home is still a design-disaster mix of wood & sandstone. While a second floor has been added the past year, the work continues, albeit slowly.
Replacing the original wooden walls and windows is a slight priority.
UPDATE: NOVEMBER 2018
There’s been a small expansion on the home, but unfortunately, we cannot see it because of the excessive overgrowth that has occurred behind Mayor Vooch’s home.
PRIORITY: LOW
UPDATE: SEPTEMBER 2018
Upgrading the Mayor Vooch’s home is important, but a LOW priority.
While there’s been news stories about this (eg. https://newfestivalcove.com/?p=412 ), the LOW priority has remained.
“Theoretically, the benefits of showcasing the Mayor’s home, is because of all the different things you can build within a home. For example, the Mayor could give tours within his home for citizens and/or visitors. Currently, this is not being done because of the unfinished work. It’s a low priority.”, said Mayor Vooch.
The fact is, there’s been more of an emphasis on building community areas within New Festival Cove, such as the Inn, and that takes higher priority.
